SUNNYVALE, CA:  In order to serve the needs of modern day Data Centers, Juniper Networks adds new hardware and software features to its SDN ready MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routing portfolio that will accelerate the throughput and network automation.

Juniper’s MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers provide system capacity, density and performance required by enterprises and cloud operators. Powered by programmable trio silicon and the Junos software, the MX Series protects users’ investments and offers a network application development platform to effortlessly integrate with the new SDN and NFV solutions.

The new additions to the MX Series consist of a new MX Series line cards with high density network connectivity and bandwidth. The 400GbE ready MPC9 allowing a single MX2020 to scale to 32 Tbps of throughput that can stream up to 2 MN 4K videos at the same time. The next addition includes Juniper Extension Toolkit with a programmatic interface to develop customized third party applications, which can reside on or off the MX2010 or MX2020 to interact with the network layer Also, it incorporates Junos Telemetry Interface that helps SDN/NFV migrations through the synchronization of operational states with external controllers.

“We use the MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers and Junos software to maintain a reliable, high performance and scalable network infrastructure with the agility to adapt at the speed of our business, and are pleased with the continued evolution of the MX Series to meet the increasing demands of digital transformation,” says Ove Toien, Manager, IP engineering, Telenor Norway.
