Kit Check Signs an Agreement with SCA Pharma to Add Embedded RFID Tag to Its Products
SCA Pharma’s decision to update its RFID tracking technology will continue to support hospitals to keep their drugs safe, furthering Kit Check’s mission of reducing the issue of drug diversion within the medical space.
FREMONT, CA: Kit Check, the pioneer in automated and intelligent medication management solutions, announces that it has signed an agreement with SCA Pharma that enables SCA to add an embedded RFID tag to its products. SCA Pharma, an FDA registered 503B firm, will be the first 503B partner to use Kit Check’s tunnel association technology and register all drugs in the cloud-based registry.
By using Kit Check technology, SCA Pharma will continue to offer hospital solutions that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of OR medication tracking operations. SCA Pharma’s wide product portfolio will be integrated with Kit Check’s innovations in RFID tagging technology to offer dynamic products to SCA customers. All SCA Pharma products will be ready to go right out of the box, and the embedded RFID tag will save space in OR trays, enabling for more ease of use.
Over the years, both the companies have been working together, Kit Check’s technology has enabled it to offer customers with better solutions. With the deployment of RFID tracking tags on all SCA Pharma products, its customers will have even more confidence in their overall OR medication tracking processes and can be sure that any possible diversion attempts will be paused at the first sign of abnormality.
