KT's uCloud to Accelerate EDB's Database Management System
FREMONT, CA: Postgers specialist Enterprise DB in alliance with KTDS, a Koran telco KT corporation will provide data-as-a-service which will be available on Openstack, a free and open-source cloud computing software. The software will feature EDS’s database tech and will be delivered through KT’s ucloud platform.
The server acts as storage of data securely, supporting best practices and allows for retrieval of the data at request. It can handle workload ranging from small single-machine applications to large internet-facing applications. “Our long and successful partnership with EnterpriseDB with on-premises deployments in our own infrastructure made EDB’s Postgres Plus the obvious choice when we select a cloud partner for our uCloud,” says Seunghye Sohn, senior vice president of KT DS.
“KT is now leading enterprise and government users to the future with their uCloud and together we are building on our years of partnership to play a role as cloud computing expands across korea, ” says Ed Boyajian, Chief executive officer of EnterpriseDB. Through this partnership KT is expanding its presence in market, particularly the public sector.
