Latest Piston Cloud OS Converts Commodity Servers into Single Unified Environment in Data Centers

FREMONT, CA: Piston Cloud Computing launches new operating system (OS) for the modern data centers. The latest OS, CloudOS 4.0, empowers users to deploy Hadoop and Spark on bare metal.

The CloudOS comprises of components including: host OS, software for boot; resource manager; services manager. With these tools, the OS speeds up the process of deployment and operation of cutting edge high performance computing on bare metal.

Features of Piston CloudOS 4.0 include: push-button deployment of Hadoop, Spark, and OpenStack; easy reallocation of resources to multiple frameworks and services across the data center; infrastructure transparency enabling users to regulate the resources allocated; support for container technologies including Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker Swarm are expected to be available soon; support for MongoDB and Cassandra is also in the pipeline.
