FREMONT, CA: As smartphone users are offered with high number of notifications from app developers, the user response is increasingly subsiding. To deal with this notification deluge, the latest app called Snowball has arrived that offers a different interface for interacting with notifications enabling the user to track only important ones, reports Sarah Perez for TechCrunch.

With the increase in number of mobile application available to download, only few are used by users regularly. Push notifications has become the only way for developers to influence the users and grab their attention. This app is a time-consuming process and something which is useful.

After installing the Snowball Android Application, it will replace the notifications experience on your phone on its own and it will hide some of the most irritating notifications. The hidden notification will be accessible in a separate pane within the snowball dropdown. The most important notifications will appear on the screen of Snowball as “Important” and the rest notification will come as “Everything Else. “ This way user can keep the record notification that is important rather than getting disturbed by all notification messages.

Instead of opening your messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, SMS, WhatsApp, Viber and others you can reply to incoming messages directly from the notification.

“In the long-term, the reason we’re making notifications more powerful and functional is that we want to go from a world where the in-app experience is primary and the notifications experience is secondary to the inverse,” says Anish Acharya, Snowball founder and CEO. Notifications are actually the centre of everything which user do on their phone and using the app is the fall back option.
