FREMONT, CA: Storage Made Easy (SME), an Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric (EFSS) provider, recently partnered with Scality, provider of software-defined storage for digital businesses at petabyte-scale. The collaboration offers a joint solution where storage across global organizations and service providers is made accessible to customers with SME’s EFSS Fabric and object storage solution from Scality.

“Once OpenStack is installed, companies most often want to understand how their end users can interact with the Swift Object Storage,” said Jim Liddle, CEO, Storage Made Easy. “Our solution also provides protocol adapters to enable Swift, or other data clouds, to be accessed over more traditional protocols that maybe in use within the enterprise. The whole SME solution can be up and running within an hour providing companies a rapid way to quickly embrace and take advantage of their OpenStack swift storage.”

The combined solution of SME File Share and Sync Fabric, and Scality RING will allow seamless file sharing and large-scale collaboration among customers involving petabytes of data.  Customers will be provided with the features of sharing, syncing, searching data along with secure access to Scality RING storage.

Storage Made Easy EFSS Gateway will combine object and file storage to unify data for easy access wherever required. In addition to enhancing storage consolidation, the solution can also utilize built-in BYOD controls to secure and lock data.
