FREMONT, CA: Lenovo and Microsoft have partnered to provide Cortana, a personal digital assistant by Microsoft, even more personalization by transforming search experience across Windows 10 devices.

REACHit, an application developed by Lenovo, allows user to manage a file stored across Lenovo devices extends the adequacy of Cortana to search over the length and breadth of Lenovo devices running on Windows 10 and many major cloud services. This exclusive platform integration gives Cortana a much larger index to search for including Google Drive, DropBox and Box.

For Example, a user wants to find a spreadsheet worked on last week stored in his Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop. The document can be accessed even while shopping in a supermarket by using his Lenovo ThinkPad10 tablet. With Cortana and REACHit, one doesn’t even have to remember the name of the file- just the location of the edit or the date or any other pertinent information is sufficient to find by saying “Hey Cortana, where is the spreadsheet I worked on last week at JFK airport.”

“We are living in a world where technology has made it easy to amass unprecedented amounts of personal digital content,” said Mark Cohen, Vice President, Ecosystem and Cloud Services, Lenovo. “So much information that it can be extremely difficult to remember where it is stored. What you need is an assistant – a friend – who is always at the ready to help. That is where Cortana and REACHit comes in, enabling people to find their personal content in an incredibly natural way – by asking a friend for help.”
