LogPoint to Takeover agileSI from Orange Cyberdefense

Hugues Foulon, CEO
Orange Cyberdefense Germany, a part of the Orange Group, has signed an agreement with LogPoint, the modern SIEM and UEBA company, to acquire agileSI, the leading SAP security solution.
FREMONT, CA: Meanwhile, Orange Cyberdefense Germany has signed a partnership agreement with LogPoint to conserve agileSIs security technologies (SIEM, UEBA, and SAP) in its complete cybersecurity portfolio. This divestment will allow Orange Cybderfense to focus on providing managed cybersecurity services in combination with the industry-leading technology vendors.
"SAP is one of the key highways of the global economy, given the enormous value of transactions moving through SAP. Bridging the gap between SAP and SIEM and keeping SAP infrastructures safe from cyber threats is a key mission for LogPoint. The acquisition of agileSI is a significant step on this journey," said LogPoint CEO Jesper Zerlang.
agileSI bridges the gap between the SAP and SIEM, and removes the security blindspot in SAP by enabling the full integration of security data from the SAP ERP platform into SIEM solutions. It unleashes the SIEM's advanced analytics capabilities, allowing correlation with various security data and full integration into the Cybersecurity space.
"Divesting agileSI is a logical consequence of our strategy to focus on the development of our cybersecurity services portfolio, rather than a single technology, and instead forge partnerships with industry-leading technology vendors," said Johan Andersson, EVP of Orange Cyberdefense. "The agileSI technology will remain in our stack and we will enter into a partnership with LogPoint that will provide future SIEM, UEBA and SAP-to-SIEM technology."
The inclusion will add significant development resources to agileSI and offers market-leading support and customer success services. The agileSI solution will be SIEM platform-agnostic and provide integration with all the leading SIEM providers, such a LogPoint, IBM Qradar, Splunk, ArcSight, and others.
The transaction is subject to customary legal needs and approvals and is expected to be completed in Q3 by the end of 2020. The parties are not disclosing financial details regarding the transaction. agileSI will be integrated into the LogPoint organization and remain geographically located in Munich, also the headquarters of the LogPoint Central EMEA organization.
