Lynx Technology Brings Out Latest Version of Twonky Embedded with Rich Media Experience
SAN DIEGO, CA: Lynx Technology updates ‘Twonky’, a media connectivity software development kit (SDK) to version 8.2. The service and content providers are supplied with rich media experience of products and services. The release supports IPv6, DIAL, and audiobook standards along with the ability to work with wide range of ecosystems like iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, Mac OS and QNX; interoperable with media adapters.
IPv6 provides dual-stack support that is downward-compatible with IPv4 across iOS, Linux, Windows and Mac. Existing as well as new IPv6 devices can also be detected. Further, DIAL APIs are capable of building and controlling native Smart TV apps. Amazon Fire TV can also be streamed through DIAL/DLNA-based Twonky app available on Amazon App Store. Browsing audiobooks is now made easy unlike consumer’s music collection.
Content from cloud can be beamed without hazzle; through public APIs, and content from third party cloud can also be fetched. Based on the varying consumer demand, the media served is modified; it retains the current customers and attracts new ones.
