Mammoth Data, providers of Big Data consulting services surfaces in this context announcing a partnership with Moogfest, an event showcasing music, art, and technology festival scheduled on May 19 – 22 in Durham. The alliance aims at providing an incredible experience for the attendees to address the future innovation needs for the city.

“Every company wants to be data driven. We go beyond developing dashboards and reports and help businesses with improvised decision-making,” states Andrew C. Oliver, President and Founder, Mammoth Data.

Bob Moog was an engineer who devised the analog synthesizer and other technology tools used by artists like Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, and Kraftwerk. The festival is a grand gathering that features over 250 innovators in the field of art, music, and technology. The top names featured in this roster of experts include Gary Numan, GZA, Grimes and Laurie Anderson, accompanied by virtual reality pioneers, Jaron Lanier and transhumanist visionary Dr. Martine Rothblatt.

“We could not be more excited to partner with Moogfest,” says Oliver. “Our partnership will not only help provide an exceptional experience but over the next few years, Moogfest could collect the type of data that could optimize future city planning.”

The partnership will allow Mammoth Data to synthesize a Data Lake which act as repositories to house and analyze huge piles of festival, transportation, social media, and wireless data in real-time. The infrastructure has been built by leveraging Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Spark, and Redis.

“The data Moogfest will collect and analyze will provide keen feedback across our entire festival experience,” extols Kamran V, CTO of Moogfest. “Mammoth Data is making a meaningful contribution to an incredible platform for the future of Moogfest and Durham.”
