MapR Continues Expansion of Free Hadoop On-Demand Training with Availability of Complete Apache HBase Certification Curriculum
SAN JOSE, CA: MapR Technologies, a provider of the top-ranked distribution for Apache Hadoop, today announced availability of a complete Apache HBase design and development curriculum on its free Hadoop On-Demand Training program. These courses can lead to HBase certification, allowing developers to deploy complex operational applications on a Hadoop data platform.
“Demand for our free Hadoop training program continues to grow as we build and expand certification programs designed for data professionals to quickly learn and master,” said Dave Jespersen, vice president, worldwide services, MapR Technologies. “HBase certification is a highly-valuable credential for developers, especially as interest grows in Hadoop and the NoSQL development model.”
The complete HBase curriculum permits data architects and Java developers to learn the HBase data model and architecture, explore HBase schema design and run a series of developer labs in order to gain HBase development competency. This curriculum, along with the lab exercises, provides developers with thorough and complete preparation for the MapR Certified HBase Developer (MCHBD) certification exam. Courses in the HBase series include:
DEV 320 – HBase Data Model and Architecture
DEV 325 – HBase Schema Design
DEV 330 – Developing HBase Applications: Basics
DEV 335 – Developing HBase Applications: Advanced
Students can also apply the recently announced $500 of credit to spend on Google Cloud Platform services for completing labs with the MapR On-Demand Training program. This incentive gives students an opportunity to complete HBase course lab exercises using Google’s industry-leading cloud infrastructure at no charge, further supporting Hadoop skills development.
With more than 30,000 professionals enrolled in the free MapR Hadoop On-Demand Training program, coursework includes the same level of depth and content as instructor-led training, with hands-on exercises, labs and quizzes that ensure an engaging and interactive experience for data professionals. The program also offers certification exams for different audiences, leading to certified Hadoop professional designations for developers, data analysts and administrators
