MapR Technologies Introduces its Latest Converged Data Platform, MapR Streams
SAN JOSE, CA: MapR Technologies, a provider of Apache Hadoop Technology for Big Data deployments, has rolled out its new product, MapR Streams, a reliable solution that connects data producers and data consumers across shared topics of information.
With MapR Streams, the developers can easily build scalable, continuous high-throughput streams across thousands of locations with millions of topics and billions of messages; they can also unite analytics, transaction and stream processing to reduce data duplication, latency and cluster sprawl while using existing open source projects, like Spark Streaming, Apache Strom, Apache Flink and Apache Apex. It also enables reliable message delivery with auto-failover and order consistency; and ensures cross-site replication to build global real-time applications.
Unlike other advances that create data silos across multiple systems and lack the required enterprise-grade features and global replication, MapR natively integrates data-in-motion and data-at-rest in one converged data platform. It lowers the cost of integration and maintenance associated with multiple platforms, and accelerates business results.
The integration of MapR Streams into a converged platform allows enterprises of any sector to continuously collect, analyze and act on streaming data. It can easily scale to handle massive data flows and long-term persistence while delivering enterprise features, like high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), security and full data protection.
“We continue to be impressed with the innovative new features MapR has been integrating into its data platform. Our customers are in regulated industries such as healthcare and financial services, which have incredibly demanding security, compliance and agility requirements. We are seeing the converged MapR platform with MapR Streams delivering more real-time data services to our users, while enhancing those important criteria,” says Brad Anderson, Vice President, Big Data Informatics, Liaison Technologies.
Moreover, MapR works closely with several technology partners, like Data Artisans, Databricks, DataTorrent, StreamSets and Syncsort to deliver clients with the flexibility to choose the components they want in their real-time analytics data platforms.
