PLANO, TEXAS: Marcatel, a global provider of carrier infrastructure, chose GENBAND, a provider of real-time communications solution provider for the interconnect solution integrated with the NetNumber TITAN Signaling Transfer Point (STP).  NetNumber collaborates with GENBAND to provide cutting edge interconnect and IMS solutions.

The partnership enables communication service providers to attain unprecedented levels of scalability, efficiency and profitability in their networks, enabling optimal route decisions, route quality and profitability.

Marcatel, had previously deployed several of GENBAND’s market solutions in their network including the Q20 SBC, C3 Call Session Controller and G9 Media Gateway. “Marcatel selected GENBAND to integrate the NetNumber TITAN STP application because of their long-standing successful relationship and the resulting flexible, future-proof solution," says Manuel Zavaleta, Chief Operating Officer from Marcatel.

Carrying forward the previous relationship, gives Marcatel enormous confidence to enjoy a superior level of customer care while better serving their end-users. The protocol framework for a converged network provided by NetNumber TITAN, underpins more than 15 different signaling applications, such as DSC (Diameter), CRE (SIP), SS7 Firewall, LNP, ENUM/DNS.

NetNumber TITAN is deployed in more than 350 servers across globe and its robust subscriber data management capability supports more than 200 billion transactions per month. The NetNumber STP application also offers SS7/C7 STP and Signaling Gateway (SG) services over traditional time-division multiplexing (TDM) networks and/or IP-based SIGTRAN networks.

“Key Service Providers like Marcatel, continues to boost their efficiency, enrich their product offerings and gain more functionality within their network, in line with latest wave of regulatory changes and interconnection requirements” asserts John Ryan, Senior Vice President of Americas Sales, GENBAND.

Marcatel can deploy multi-protocol signaling control platform such as NetNumber TITAN to reduce the signaling traffic between the separate but inter-related SS7, ENUM, LTE and IMS functions in their legacy and next-generation networks. The result is a network core that can support faster time-to-market of new service offerings, while minimizing the impact to legacy services and to the OSS/BSS systems.
