McLeod Software Adds New Capabilities to its Products to Provide Better Solutions to Trucking and Freight Brokerage Industry

FREMONT, CA: Expanding the core functional capabilities of its various products and modules available for customers, McLeod Software, a provider of transportation management software solutions to the trucking and freight brokerage industry, unveils Version 15.2 of its LoadMaster Enterprise and PowerBroker software solutions. The company also releases version 15 of its DocumentPower Enterprise and FlowLogix business process management solutions.


The new capabilities of the latest versions of LoadMaster Enterprise, PowerBroker, DocumentPower Enterprise and FlowLogix include::

Version 15.2 of LoadMaster and PowerBroker System

McLeod Software’s LoadMaster offers a fully integrated trucking dispatch operations management system and a complete accounting software solution designed for the transportation business. It comes with the ability to add up to 30 vital functional modules and more than 75 mature, fully tested, integration products for other transportation management and trucking industry solutions ranging from mobile communications to vehicle maintenance management.

PowerBroker Trucking Software is an advanced enterprise-wide software solution that offers a fully integrated end-to-end brokerage operations management system and a complete native accounting software solution.

The Rapid Alert Notification System (RANS) forms an integral part of McLeod LoadMaster and PowerBroker system. It detects events in the customer’s business and sends instant electronic notifications to the appropriate people, when those critical events occur.


In the new release, the capabilities of RANS has been expanded, enabling it to notify the right people when expected events have not occurred with the new Overdue Events function within RANS. The new capability will help customers to define the time at which any specific event is considered overdue and who should be notified.

Modified Private Notification Network (PNN)

PowerBroker's Private Notification Network (PNN) module automates the process of sending information on available orders or loads to selected carriers via email or fax as needed. A new version of the current Available Loads function has been added in PNN to make selected loads visible to the broker’s existing carriers via an email. The new version makes it easier for carriers who are offered loads to simply click on a link in the email and be directed a specific dispatcher, based on lane-specific definitions for that load, or geographic zones that the user defines.

The PNN enhancements in PowerBroker Verison 15.2 make it easier for brokers to identify the loads that match the freight a carrier is looking for.


PNN also stores each carrier’s preferences for the types of loads and specific geographies or lanes they prefer to work in. In the new version, the preference profile has been restructured for more detailed carrier lane definitions. It provides better lane filtering for the broker’s carriers to get more accurate representations of the lanes. Using the refined functionality, brokers can specify lane types by state, dispatch zone, zip code range and market area. A new “exclude” option has also been included to make it easy to list the places a carrier does not want to travel.

Version 15 of DocumentPower Enterprise and FlowLogix

With expanded capabilities, FlowLogix provides managers the ability to monitor and measure the business processes managed in the workflows, as well as individual employee performance in their assigned tasks. FlowLogix is a module that works with both LoadMaster and PowerBroker, and it features capabilities that build upon the imaging and rendition billing functionality that comes with DocumentPower.

FlowLogix allows companies to automate the billing and settlements process so that staff involvement is either kept to a minimum or eliminated entirely. Through the use of contract templates, it provides a mechanism for automating the contract completion and signing process. The tool gets to know which parties have completed which portions of each contract and how to prompt people to address uncompleted tasks. The contract is visible throughout its lifecycle so that the user sending it out can see where it is at every point along the way. Once the contract is completed, FlowLogix enters it into the system.

Built within FlowLogix and Logix eForms, the new Logix Solutions, a set of pre-packaged comprehensive business process automation solutions offers new features such as e-Rate confirmation, Billing & Settlement, and Advanced Billing & Settlement. The Logix Solutions product can be easily, quickly, and inexpensively modified from their out-of-the-box state to meet the unique needs of a customer’s business process. The new Billing & Settlement or Advanced Billing & Settlement solutions provide a great starting point for an aggressive and comprehensive business process automation solution for customer billing and driver or carrier settlement in nearly any trucking oriented transportation business.

Logix eForms is a complete solution for transforming paper contract processes into electronic workflows and eliminating the paper handling, manual signing, and mountains of faxes that complicate high volume inter-company transactions. It can be used for Rate Confirmations, Carrier Onboarding, Rate Quotes, hiring documents, yard inspection reports, customer surveys and many other paper processes.

Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM), a trucking industry CPA and Consulting firm, has partnered with McLeod Software to produce a unique and valuable Trucking Operations Benchmarking Survey, based on data covering 215 data elements measured over a calendar year for a large number of U.S. based truckload carriers. With the release of Version 15.2 of LoadMaster, the complete KSM benchmark report is built into the base system for McLeod customers, making it easier for any company who either wants to participate in the broader KSM/McLeod survey, or simply benchmark their own operations performance and measure changes year over year. The carriers who would like to participate needs to generate the required operations data in a specific spreadsheet and submit it to KSM.
