WILSONVILLE, OR- Mentor Graphics Solution, a  electronic hardware and software design solutions decides to provide “digital manufacturing mastery” making it easier to assign product allocation to multiple production configurations. Users can also quickly and seamlessly transition products between the multiple configurations giving the industry 4.0 the flexibility and the edge it deserves. The industry requirement can be much easily realized on the Industry 4.0 platform with the introduction of Lean New Product Introduction(NPI),  the latest version of the original Valor Process Preparation software. This is indeed the first time electrical component data can be directly compared between the schematic and the production BOM, ensuring correct output for test and SMT machines.

The idea behind this integration is to consolidate the entire product model and any related manufacturing process definitions into a single efficient container to give it the necessary flexibility attributes. Advanced process simulation and automated machine library generation techniques are incorporated into the Valor Process Preparation software for creating dispatchable machine programs, operational data and work instructions for processes such as assembly, test and inspection. It is very efficient as it ensures minimal changeover downtime and start-up risks while executing manufacturing changes.

The product showcases enhanced support for rapid test programming which includes the ability to intelligently link schematic, PCB layout and Bill of Materials(BOM). Users can  track on the PCB layout which immediately displays the node in the corresponding schematic diagram from design, and vice-versa. This in turn reflects on the highest level of testability and the most rapid debug time when investigating test failures at shop-floor repair stations.
