Mercury Comes With Purpose-Built Sterndrive Offerings
FOND DU LAC, WI: Mercury Mercruiser’s, manufacturer of recreational marine propulsion engines has launched new 6.2-liter V-8 300hp and 350hp sterndrive engines designed specifically for marine environment. The engine is well tested for long lasting performance and renders increased torque for smooth and quite ride.
“With the introduction of new 6.2-liter V-8 sterndrive engines, Mercury continues to build on its success of designing and manufacturing propulsion systems that deliver the most intuitive, powerful, worry-free, smooth and quite boating experience,” says Jhon Pfeifer, President of Mercury Marine. The new engine is exclusively built and has gone through open-water testing to check its durability factor and its cost-effective feature.
These new engines come with improved features along with simpler electronic controls, engine monitoring systems and eco-friendly emission controls. This will result in perfect balance of power, easy maintenance, superior corrosion-resistance and a quite ride. The engine optimizes air flow for higher torque power, handles rough seas and the Adaptive Speed Control (ASC), automatically maintains a set rpm regardless the load and change in condition. The large engine optimizes and isolates engine vibration to reduce sound for quieter ride experience.
Mercury Marine is anti-corrosion built using durable cast-iron components and comes with maintenance center near the top-front section of the engine including oil filter and fill indicators for easy accessibility. In addition the valve train is maintenance-free for the life of the engine and the embedded QR code lable allows smartphone users to access “how to” videos online. The engine is also available with optional freshwater cooling where the coolant fluid maintains the engine temperature and SeaCore drive corrosion protection treatment to prevent excessive corrosion when needed. To add up , the engine comes with five years coverage- two years of Mercury Limited Warranty and three years of Mercury Extended Service.
