FREMONT, CA: With millions of users, Facebook has to face a great tussle to track and manage its huge data centre infrastructure and keep up with consistent performance. But by implementing CA Technologies’ DCIM software, Facebook can now bring together numerous energy- related data points from physical and IT resources in its data centre. “We are on a mission to help connect the world, and our IT infrastructure is core to our success. We are continually looking at ways to optimize our data centers and bringing all of our energy-related information together in one spot was a core requirement,” says Tom Furlong, Vice President, Infrastructure Data Centres at Facebook.
