SUNNYVALE, CA: Meru Networks – provider of 802.11ac Wi-Fi solutions across education, healthcare and hospitality industry – unveils its Meru XPress Cloud, a controller-less 802.11ac Wi-Fi solution with cloud management feature for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).

Meru XPress Cloud portfolio comprises new Meru XP8i access point to provide enhanced connection to wired networks using Wi-Fi with management software and highly secured data center. The Wi-Fi solution allows only network management traffic to pass through cloud whereas corporate data will be behind the firewall.

Addressing the challenges of increased use of mobile devices across SMEs, Meru XPress Cloud facilitates enterprise-grade capabilities with easy usability and intuitive management in highly-dense environment. The solution can be easily deployed by anyone using Power over Ethernet (PoE) capable Ethernet switch or an optional external power supply along with basic Internet connection. With high performance, two-radio and 2X2 features, 802.11ac Meru XP8i access point also plays an important role in XPress Cloud deployment by offering zero-touch provisioning that allows self-configuration in no time with automated channel and power selection capabilities.

XPress Cloud offers management portal customization for Meru channel partners. The new Wi-Fi solution also provides secured on-boarding of employee and guest devices through its integrated captive portal feature.
