Microscan to Demonstrate MicroHAWK at the AACC Clinical Lab Expo 2016
RENTON, WA: Microscan has announced that it will demonstrate MicroHAWK-tiny enclosed imaging devices for barcode reading and machine vision for clinical instruments at the 2016 AACC Clinical Lab Expo. The event is going to be held from August 2 to August 4 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Microscan is a provider of machine vision solutions that encapsulate ground-up hardware design as well as software development. The company has developed MicroHAWK-a complete engine and camera platform with life science and OEM applications in mind. The launch of MicroHAWK will be an addition to its existing line of cutting edge products that includes AutoVISION line of machine vision smart cameras, and Vision MINI and Vision HAWK, with lens, lighting, processor, and communications on a single miniature device.
The new MicroHAWK family of imaging devices is inclusive of a fully-integrated imaging engine and three industrial-rated miniature imagers. The product enables the users to automate critical processes like specimen and reagent identification and tracking, tube cap presence and absence, cap type and color identification, dimensional measurements such as tube height and diameter.
MicroHAWK empowers the users to meet any decoding or inspection task, in any integration space, and with scalability to adapt to meet unpredictable requirements in the future. With MicroHAWK, the company has traversed the path from providing only barcode imaging solution to the universal imaging of any code, or text to achieve any automation task based on visible data.
"We manufacture, sell, and support solutions and custom applications in industries from packaging to electronics assembly and clinical instrumentation,” said Scott Summerville, President, Microscan Systems.
