Mirantis and Intel Partnership Aims at Enterprise OpenStack Acceleration

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: In an initiative to create ‘Cloud for All’ platform, the Open Stack Company, Mirantis, and Intel announces a strategic technology and investment collaboration to accelerate enterprise OpenStack.

OpenStack cloud software is developed by a team of open source contributors under the guidance of Open Source Foundation. This collaboration focuses on escalating enterprise OpenStack distribution and OpenStack adoption.

Technology collaboration with Intel focuses on increasing capabilities for enterprise deployment. It addresses the performance at scale, storage, network integration and support for big data. Resolving these technological challenge will widen the use OpenStack and can be easily integrated by Mirantis and Intel customers.

As part of investment collaboration, Intel led a funding round of equity and spending with its new as well as existing investors. The declaration ushered OpenStack Software to an increased revenue, adding more than 70 new enterprise customers to the company.
