NEST Nurtures was created last year (2020) with the intention of building on the charitable work that the organization has done since its inception in 1994.

FREMONT, CA: NEST, the leading national integrated facilities management business, announced that its founders Robert Almond, Sr. and Dee Almond would lead philanthropic efforts as Ambassadors of NEST Nurtures. NEST Nurtures was created last year with the intention of building on the charitable work that the organization has done since its inception in 1994.

“My parents have always stressed the importance of philanthropy since they founded NEST over 25 years ago,” said Rob Almond, Jr, who was named CEO of NEST in 2015. “Despite the uncertainty in 2020, we were proud to continue that tradition throughout the pandemic on a national level. We look forward to spreading goodwill into the future with my parents in this important role.”

Since last summer, over 25 charities have benefited from over $100,000 in cash contributions from NEST Nurtures. NEST’s retail partners chose the beneficiaries as a way to help charities doing vital work around the world. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (selected by Five Below), Ticket to Dream Foundation (selected by Mattress Firm), Northeast Ohio Black Health Coalition (selected by JOANN),and The Doe Fund are among the initiative’s beneficiaries (selected by Steve Madden). NEST has also benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Ronald McDonald House Charities for several years.

NEST Nurtures has made three significant contributions at the end of 2020 on behalf of workers who were able to meet business targets in the fourth quarter. NEST provided additional funding to Women Against Abuse in Philadelphia, the Domenica Foundation in New Jersey, and the Taste of Immokalee in Florida due to their efforts.

Since the pandemic struck the United States and Canada, NEST has been instrumental in keeping stores open and maintaining consumer trust. NEST is designing industry-leading facilities management solutions for more than 40 retail customers, from introducing new janitorial practices to lowering facility management expenses through an integrated approach. NEST is responsible for nearly 60,000 retail outlets across North America.

Since 1994, NEST has been at the forefront of the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) industry in the United States and Canada. The Integrated Facilities Management solution from NEST combines financial expertise and market intelligence with a consultative approach. Real-time data, reporting, and analytics technology provide informed feedback to business leaders and facility management teams, allowing them to make better decisions.
