
Nexenta Releases NexentaFusion 1.0. Enterprise and Community Editions; Introduces Latest Version of NexentaStor 5.0

SANTA CLARA, CA: Nexenta, an open source driven Software-Defined Storage (SDS) solutions provider, announces the general availability of NexentaFusion 1.0’s enterprise and community editions along with the newest version of the company’s flagship OpenSDS solution—NexentaStor 5.0. These solutions offer simplified storage management and analytics to enterprises simplifying the deployment and management of the storage infrastructure for the end customer. “The NexentaStor 5.0 and NexentaFusion 1.0., not only deliver comprehensive SDS infrastructure but it paves the way for tomorrow’s data center with its support of evolving technologies like All-Flash,” says Thomas Cornely, Chief Product Officer, Nexenta.
NexentaStor 5.0 provides advanced All-Flash reference architectures and a new kernel based high-performance replication (HPR) solution that delivers continuous asynchronous replication for applications that require as close to zero Recover Point Objectives (RPO) as possible without performance degradation. The new vCenter Web Client Plugin (vCenter Plugin) for NexentaStor 5.0 provides a unified interface to manage any number of NexentaStor appliances and allows customers to incrementally scale storage by adding datastores from within the vCenter interface, identify performance bottlenecks and review capacity utilization trends.
NexentaFusion 1.0, on the other hand makes deploying, running and operating SDS infrastructure at any scale simpler through a single pane of glass to manage multiple NexentaStor appliances along with intuitive provisioning and configuration workflows.
Nexenta’s products provide IT organizations the ability to break the proprietary legacy storage vendor lock-in giving users the freedom to select lower cost, industry standard storage hardware whenever and wherever needed. The company’s new storage products aim at reducing the operational cost with its state-of-the-art graphical user interface, intuitive workflows, DevOps friendly self-documenting REST APIs and rich storage analytics.
