FREMONT, CA: Novarad, a healthcare technology company, launches its own specialty viewer, NovaMG to enable integrated picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and digital mammography for Novarad users.

The key features of NovaMG include: a customizable, one-click workflow; advanced Tomosynthesis support; unique mammography toolset; flexible mammo-driven hanging protocols; and support for a range of modalities, including CR, digitized film, ultrasound, and MRI.

NovaMG viewer is fully integrated with dictation/voice recognition that eliminates the need for transcription. It can also track and report for all breast-related procedures, including mammography, MRI, and ultrasounds. It reduces process time, and thereby increases productivity. With the help of the new software, radiologists can use their PACS to read mammography and tomosynthesis from the same workstation and user interface. The one-click workflow allows radiologiststo streamline the reading of a study from opening a study to generating a report out of it. Using NovaMG, reports can be printed, emailedand stored to a PACS or radiology information system (RIS) directly from the viewer.

“Our customers want variety of choice. We still offer a deep integration between NovaPACS and Three Palm Software; however, to provide increased selection, we now provide our customers with the option to read with our new native mammography viewer,” says Steve Fowler, Director of Product Management, Novarad.
