NUMECA Partners with UberCloud to Release its CFD Software Suite
FREMONT, CA: NUMECA in collaboration with UberCloud released an entire suite of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software which is to be made available as a service on any cloud. The suite is powered by UberCloud application software containers and supports NUMECA’s entire range of Flow Integrated Environment (FINE) software packages like FINE/Marine, FINE/Turbo, FINE/Acoustics, FINE/Design3D, AutoMesh, and FINEv/Open with OpenLabs.

The recent NUMECA International Worldwide Users Meet held in Brussels between October26-29 saw a live demonstration of its FINE™/Turbo CFD software system that has been customized for turbo machinery applications hosted on the cloud. The demonstration that lasted for a brief 5 minutes had Aji Purwanto, Business Development Director, NUMECA, participating in a live simulation at NUMECA’s store in UberCloud’s Online Marketplace. Purwanto selected NUMECA’s FINE/Turbo service and it took just mere seconds for him to access the Fine/Turbo container on the CPU 24/7. The next step involved uploading the geometry to start the simulation in a window that resembled an engineer’s desktop. The geometry and the physics flow field were interactively manipulated by Purwanto to successfully generate the final results of the simulation for the audience at the meeting.
