Nutanix Enters an Agreement to Acquire Mainframe2
Nutanix, Inc. a leading enterprise cloud computing solutions provider announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mainframe2, Inc. (“Frame”), a leading cloud-based windows desktop and application delivery firm. In joint efforts with Frame, Nutanix aims to provide ease to its customers by allowing them to deliver desktops-as-a-service (DaaS) from multiple clouds with a combination of consumer-grade simplicity and web-scale design of cloud applications with the flexibility and functionality of traditional virtual desktop applications.
The rapid adoption of cloud-native applications is fundamentally changing how applications are delivered to users and according to International Data Corporation (IDC), the DaaS software market is forecast to grow to $2.99 billion by 2021. Modern born in cloud applications are built to support multiple organizations from a single cloud. They are flexible and deliver on-demand scalability.
Frame supports multi-cloud delivery models which allow IT, teams, to deliver virtual desktops from public clouds and their own data centers. Multi-cloud architecture for DaaS provides easier migration of applications, flawless disaster recovery, single IT environment for delivering both traditional and cloud-native applications and easier migration of applications across environments.
