OASIS Initiates Context Server, Aims to Improve Online Personalized User Experience
FREMONT, CA: OASIS consortium releases the new OASIS Context Server (CXS) which eases managing, integrating and interoperability for Web Content Management (WCM), Big Data, CRM, Digital Marketing and Data Management Platforms.
As an open standards consortium, the standards developed by the Context Server (CXS) Technical Committee enable companies to interact more effectively with their customers.CXS allows data collection based on user behavior and users receive full control of the collected data, thus allowing them to set privacy according to their need. The collected user data is accumulated into profiles.
User segments are created and defined according to demographics, allowing third party WCM systems to tag and deliver content. Compilation of campaign lists is simplified using CXS and marketing systems can also access the profiles.
“A widely adopted standard will expand the broader market by making it easier to ramp up new products, integrate with existing systems, and grow niche opportunities into new market areas.”, says Thomas Sigdestad of Enonic, ,co-chair of the OASIS CXS Technical Committee.Serge Huber of Jahia, also co-chairing the OASIS CXS Technical Committee notes that personalization can be delivered in a simple and interoperable way through CXS.
