Object Matrix signs a five-year deal with Finish Line to migrate its archive to MatrixStore Cloud from the public cloud.

FREMONT, CA: Object Matrix announces a 5-year deal with post-production, The Finish Line, to migrate its archive to MatrixStore Cloud from the public cloud. The Finish Line needed to protect archive content cost-effectively while being able to get clips on demand. The costs and retrieval performance is too unpredictable on the incumbent platform, so the Finish Line chose to transfer from AWS Glacier to the MatrixStore Cloud platform.

Content will be archived to the MatrixStore Cloud using backup tools and the S3 interface. Once migrated, the whole archive will be accessed from one place using Vision from Object Matrix allowing global teams to discover and share content across the archive. The Finish Line designs and handles in-house post-production solutions for productions, offering on-site or remote access editorial, finishing, and mastering services. It was looking for a more efficient method of managing its archive.

The MatrixStore Cloud workflow allows The Finish Line to accelerate the cloud efficiencies and share archived content with other stakeholders while giving the flexibility to easily and rapidly scale as needed. Along with this, MatrixStore Cloud and Vision make sure that the archive remains secure and fully auditable.
