ROCHESTER, NY: Omni-ID, a provider of industrial RFID tags and visual-tagging solutions, has recently launched several new high-temperature tags. These new tags, with a reliable temperature resistance up to 225°C are part of Omni-ID's line of very small, low profile, fit tags which provide the best size-to-performance ratios.

Industries like manufacturing, healthcare, food and energy use products that are carried in containers are exposed to elevated temperatures. Therefore, it becomes imperative for the containers to be heat resistant so that it can be tracked without any hassle.

"We've seen an uptick in industrial RFID applications requiring tags that can withstand high temperatures, particularly in cyclic processes," says George E. Daddis, CEO, Omni-ID. "For many industries the ability to track assets reliably, through a variety of processes, that cycle from normal or below zero temperatures, to very high temperatures and back again repeatedly, has been a challenge.”

Daddis says that market products today either don't meet the temperature, form factor or cost requirements for use in these challenging applications. Omni-ID has introduced a new standard in high temperature tags that is highly cost effective for industry.

"As the adoption of RFID in the Energy Industry continues to increase, we see the demand for tags that will perform under extreme high temperature conditions growing as well," saysEirik Berge, VP Business Development, Trac-ID.

Berge believes responsiveness to meet the rapidly expanding market requirements will be critical for industry adoption of RFID to continue. Omni-ID utilizes its manufacturing and engineering expertise to deliver its products to the market.
