Oracle Woos Online Merchants with Its Commerce Cloud Solution
FREMONT, CA: Targeting the online merchants, Oracle rolls out the latest solution—Commerce Cloud extends all facilities like storefront builder, recommendations engine, and tools for promotions, reporting, payments design templates and SEO which is found in an e-commerce tool.
The solution was built with a motive to generate customers in the field of e-commmerce which functions as a part of Oracle’s Customer Experience (CX) applications portfolio.
Though pre-released earlier this year, Oracle is elevating the service as a key differentiator of its overall CX portfolio, writes Natalie Gagliordi in ZDNet.
"Commerce Cloud helps ensure online businesses no longer have to worry about deploying code, upgrading, and managing day-to-day infrastructure," says Ken Volpe, SVP of product development for Oracle.
Oracle claims that the platform’s basic front-end coding skills are all that is required to work with the platform and when it comes to developers Commerce Cloud's API enables the platform to be easily extended based on business needs.
Built on Oracle Public Cloud, the solution leverages Oracle's massive infrastructure. The users of Commerce Cloud also enjoy the advantage to use other Oracle CX applications, such as the marketing, social and sales clouds.
