Over 500 Decision Makers from the Global Subsea Communications Industry at the Submarine Networks World 2017
FREMONT, CA: Submarine Networks World – the world’s leading annual submarine communications conference – returns for its 20theditionthis month from 25 – 27 September at Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore.
With over 500 industry leaders from across 220 organizations around the world expected to attend, the conference is a key calendar event for executives involved in the building, investing and buying of core Internet backbone infrastructure.
As the world’s population becomes increasingly connected, demand for faster Internet speeds, greater capacity and more flexible networks continues to escalate.With global Internet traffic predicted to reach 30GB per capita by 2021, demand for new subsea cable projects is expected to continue experiencing growth. Recent years have also seen cloud giants Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon getting directly involved as project investors and owners to meet their global bandwidth needs, further fueling the industry’s growth.
Now in its 20th year, Submarine Networks World serves as an annual platform for the industry to come together and learn about the latest cable projects and technologies, create new business partnerships and network.
The theme for 2017’s conference “Breaking Boundaries” has been set with the intention to challenge tradition, question what’s possible and prepare for the future, where a resilient subsea network and diverse route options will form the cornerstone of tomorrow’s global connected community.
