Palerra Collaborates with Okta to Deliver 360-degree Cloud Data Protection
FREMONT, CA: Gone are the days when people used to send bunch of pictures in email or use USB flash drives to carry documents. Now, everyone is on cloud, the number of cloud users has increased with the time. It has become a place where everyone meets and exchanges information.
However, the safety of data on cloud is always a concern. To address the issue, Palerra and Okta, providers of cloud security technology, have integrated to provide a scalable “360-degree” cloud data protection solution, which is a cloud-based system that monitors hundreds of thousands of users within minutes and reports suspicious behavior.
It protects data from both inside and outside the cloud data center. The partnership enables Okta’s user credential capabilities to behave like a gatekeeper and defends data from outside attacks. When users pass through the firewall, Palerra’s behavior analytics starts working like a video camera inside the data center and monitors users’ activity.
“360-degree” cloud data protection solution functions across the enterprise cloud service environment, consisting Amazon Web Services (AWS), Salesforce, Box, Microsoft Office 365 and ServiceNow.
“User behavior analytics is one of the most powerful developments in data security right now because quantifying the actions of users within your enterprise is of critical importance to detecting early warnings of insider threats. The firewall has in effect become how you evaluate the behavior of users, which is why this solution sits at the user level, “comments David Baker, Chief Security Officer of Okta.
