Palomar to Automate Workflow with Ascend Solutions
FREMONT,CA: The California based health care provider, Palomar Health chooses Ascend Software to automate their Accounts Payable department. Focusing on process improvement, greater workflow efficiency and document visibility and control, Palomar is all set to implement Smart Touch AP, Smart Touch AIR, ECM and other solutions of Ascend. The hospital will utilize Ascend’s financial automation suite for managing and routing documents for approval. This initiative intends to eliminate paper processes through intelligent imaging, OCR and electronic storage.
SmartTouch AP identifies those invoices which require special processing compared to the repetitive ones that follow standard processing, thus eliminating time consuming methods. It tracks invoices and other related documents through standard and advanced capture methods. Some of the benefits of implementing SmartTouch AP include eliminating late payment fees, reduction in training costs, electronically capturing reports and reduced manual steps. SmartTouch AIR on the other hand, enables organizations to segregate information from structured and unstructured documents. It recognizes the changes to invoice layouts without any manual intervention, which relieves users from making continuous changes to Software.
Pamolar selected Ascend solutions for a real time integration of its services with Infor Lawson, giving easy storage and retrieval of electronic data, and automation capabilities. The hospital decided to engage Ascend for a significant reduction in paper works and to streamline document workflows in the AP department. Search and retrieval of electronic documents are simplified with the ECM solution offered by Ascend stores electronic documents of multiple file types in a single, safe and secure centralized system. Another key concern for Pamolar was scanning paper documents and performing advanced OCR with latest algorithms, for which Ascend solutions seemed more helpful and functional.
