BLOOMINGDALE, IL: PCTEL, provider of Performance Critical Telecom solutions, has released its GPS/GLONASS high performance asset tracking and synchronization helix antennas for commercial availability.

Designed to capture the frequencies needed for GPS, Galileo and GLONASS satellite reception, PCTEL’s GEO-GNSS-AC-S1, the small form factor helix antennas withstands harsh environments. They are active and robust as well as cover both GPS L1 and GLONASS L1 frequency bands. Their filtering design enables wideband coverage, while supporting out-of-band rejection. They are available in active (GEO-GNSS-AC-S1) and passive (GEO-GNSS-PS-S1) antenna models.

“Customers expect PCTEL to solve challenging problems. We designed PCTEL’s GEO-GNSS series for complex asset tracking and network timing applications,” quotes Rishi Bharadwaj, VP and GM of PCTEL Connected Solutions.

The highlights of the antennas include GPS L1 and GLONASS L1 frequencies, custom-tuned micro helix element, high rejection filtering, 26.5 dB gain and IP67 ingress protection, which can be used for defense radio communications, handheld devices, body worn asset tracking, public safety emergency responders and industrial network synchronization.
