PeopleUX Announces Release of Voluntary Product Accessibility Template
PeopleUX worked with Level Access to create a comprehensive solution that helps institutions reduce enforcement risks and embrace inclusivity while adhering to Federal requirements.
FREMONT, CA: PeopleUX, an Appsian Security solution, announced the release of its Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), which was created in collaboration with Level Access, a third-party accessibility consulting company. The VPAT is intended to ensure that PeopleSoft meets all Federal Accessibility Standards (ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1.)
“Nearly 20% of college and university students require the use of an assistive device. This is a big reason why there is so much discussion in the accessibility community around ensuring the quality of the VPATs vendors will generate for their own products,” said Scott Hirni, Director of User Experience (UX), Strategy and Solutions, PeopleUX. “Having Level Access as a third-party accountability partner to generate an external VPAT validates our commitment to make PeopleSoft Campus Solutions readily accessible to all users.”
PeopleUX worked with Level Access to create a comprehensive solution that helps institutions reduce enforcement risks and embrace inclusivity while adhering to Federal requirements. As a result of this collaboration, the first and only collaboratively-generated VPAT has been released, which is specifically designed to assist PeopleSoft Campus Solutions in meeting the current accessibility compliance requirements.
PeopleUX installs directly into the PeopleSoft web server and automatically makes every PeopleSoft page - from Classic, Classic+, and Fluid - as a mobile-responsive and accessibility-compliant user interface, ensuring a smooth deployment process. Customers are not subject to future ADA-related litigation due to the use of widgets and other overlay-based solutions because the HTML render process takes place at the PeopleCode stage. This year, PeopleUX will add Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and Oracle’s PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain (FSCM) to its external VPAT certification with Level Access.
