Peregrine New RF Digital Phase Shifter- an Add on For Antenna Applications

SAN DIEGO, CA: Digital phase shifters (DPS) continue their prevalence as an ideal device for optimizing the transmission phase angle in beamforming networks, distributed antenna systems and phased array radar. Peregrine DPS offers full phase range, fine phase resolution, low RMS phase/amplitude error and high linearity while operating over a wide supply range and operating temperature.

A digital control interface with parallel and serial programming options provides additional flexibility. Recently Peregrine also introduced new digital phase shifter UltraCMOS PE44820. This is an 8-bit digital phase shifter easy to design-in and delivers exceptional phase accuracy and high linearity. Supporting a frequency range of 1.7 to 2.2 GHz, the phase shifter is better for the transmission phase angle in the wireless infrastructure and radar markets.

 The PE44820 covers a phase range of 358.6 degrees in 1.4-degree steps and has an exceptional phase accuracy of +3 degrees. The phase shifter has low RMS phase error of 1-degree and low RMS amplitude error of 0.1dB. Its linearity of 60 dBm IIP3 ensures the phase shifter does not degrade the array transceiver's linearity. Built on Peregrine's UltraCMOS technology, the PE44820 has an extended temperature range up to 105-degrees Celsius and a wide power supply range from 2.3 to 5.5V. The PE44820 is also capable of extended frequency operation from 1.1 to 3.0 GHz for narrow band applications.
