Point Inside Commences New Indoor Location Solution, Releases Beacons for Retailers

BELLEVUE, WA: Provider of in-store product location solutions, Point Inside has recently launched its StoreLocation solution. This new tool provides retailers with complete benefits of beacon-based location technologies to connect with shoppers’ in-store through the mobile platform. The deployment of StoreLocation empowers the retailers to smoothly manage, plan, place and monitor beacons at a large scale in individual store locations.

"As shoppers increasingly demand online-like experiences in stores, beacons present a huge opportunity for retailers to bring the benefits of digital to brick-and-mortar," says Aaron Dane, Retail Experience and Innovation Manager, Point Inside. "By making it easy to manage and deploy beacons, StoreLocation helps retailers digitally connect with shoppers’ in-store through relevant and contextual messages," he adds.

Based on Point Inside’s StoreMode platform, StoreLocation sums up a digital representation of each retail store by combining current product locations, departments, and other services. StoreLocation includes two key services, the Beacon Planner and the Beacon Activator.

Beacon Planner is a platform that enables retailers to simply place beacon remotely through digital store maps, guarantying sufficient coverage in-store with easy execution for store employees. Beacon Activator is a mobile management tool which allows retailers for in-store activation, planning, placing and moving within a store through any iOS device. According to IHL Group half of large retailers are ready to implement beacons by the end of this year.
