WAYNE, PA: Sungard Availability Services, (‘Sungard AS’) a cloud and data recovery service provider, has declared that it’s Recover2Cloud (R2C) for Site Recovery Manager (SRM) has become VMware Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) member. Powered by VMware vCloud Air Network Program, Sungard AS offers DRaaS to its VMware customers.

Sungard AS’ R2C for SRM and disaster recovery plan together boosts security of data stored and potentially helps organizations to reduce costs of infrastructure and software needed for a secondary or tertiary disaster recovery site.  The latest title also enables firms to rapidly identify VMware technology based disaster recovery service providers.

VMware vCenter SRM, that operates with an underlying replication technology to provide policy based management non-disruptive testing and automated orchestration of recovery plans empowers VMware DRaaS Powered status which avails applications with mobility over the private cloud environment. VMware vCenter SRM provides policy-based management, non-disruptive testing and automated orchestration of recovery plans which operates through an underlying replication technology. It also provides simple and reliable recovery of virtual machines between sites with minimal or no downtime.
