Q Software Global Simplifies Security Management in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 9.2
FREMONT, CA: Q Software Global, a provider of security management and compliance solutions for JD Edwards users, announces V5.2 of its suite of security, compliance and productivity tools to support the new User Defined Objects security types introduced in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 9.2.
The new V5.2 features a new Admin Control Manager module to make management of complex and systems administration tasks easier. Q Software for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne By introducing a new User Defined Object (UDO) security component which supports the new security types and writes the UDO security records to the new security table, QSoftware for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne gives customers an easy and efficient way to define and assign all types of security.
With EnterpriseOne Tools Release 9.2, JD Edwards delivers a simple and standardized process to manage user personalization called User Defined Objects. This feature enables users to personalize their experience and interaction with JD Edwards without customization to improve productivity and satisfaction. Its objects include Grid Formats, Queries, One View Reports, One View Watchlists, EnterpriseOne Pages, and the Composite Application Framework.
Q Software’s new set of security support eliminates complexities of UDOs, making security seamless by allowing users to set up reusable UDO security modules and also add them to Roles and/or Users alongside standard security modules. V5.2 enables all the security records to be automatically written to the appropriate security tables with no manual effort required.
“Many customers and partners have told us that highly skilled technical staff spend far too much time on routine tasks such as resetting passwords and creating new Users. Admin Control Manager streamlines these processes, enabling customers to delegate them to Help Desk or administrative staff. This avoids the need to involve technicians and often enables a faster turnaround time for user requests,” says Mike Ward, Vice President, Q Software.
