QC Software Announces Seamless Pick-to-Light Integration
CINCINNATI, OH: Queen City Software, provider of innovative warehouse control software solutions, announces the direct integration of its WCS software with two pick-to-light hardware systems. Now distribution centers can fully leverage the power of QC Enterprise software and pick-to-light systems from ATOP Technologies and Innovative Picking Technologies.
Paperless, light-directed “Pick-to-Light” systems are a fast, accurate, and cost-effective order fulfillment solution. Indicator lights attached to storage location bins or shelving guide personnel to the stock location and numerically display the product quantity needed to fill an order.
Commenting on the integration, Richard Hite, President, QC Software says that for distribution centers, order fulfillment operations hold the key to productivity gains. Because pick-to-light technology is relatively straightforward and cost-effective, it can deliver a quick return on investment through improved picking speed and accuracy.
“This hardware and software integration further streamlines the process delivering an even faster and greater return on investment. ATOP and IPTI are recognized as two of the industry’s leading hardware providers. We are pleased to offer this advantage to those employing pick-to-light technologies,” he further adds.
