QNAP Launches QTS 4.2.1 with Advanced and Powerful Features

FREMONT, CA: QNAP Systems, a virtualization, network storage and data sharing firm released QTS 4.2.1, a smart NAS operating system with advanced features and enhanced applications. These functions allow users to get more results with office applications and data management. The enhanced version provides smoother and smarter data management practices with powerful cloud service security, by leveraging its advanced features and improved apps.

Network and virtual switch provide stronger functions for network management that leads to complete overview of network topology and upgrades connectivity for port trunking. Virtual switches allow customers to assemble unique LAN environment by leveraging integrated DHCP server for enhanced data security. The proxy server app fully supports caching that is used to record internet accessed content; it saves bandwidth and stimulates network transmission. The proxy server app allows the automatic interface to streamline settings on the proxy server on users NAS and enables them to implement individual proxy server within just a few clicks. This proxy server application changes NAS into a web proxy server that protects other equipment from web attacks along with enhanced web response time. The upgraded QTS technology provide Windows users an easy restoration of files to save effort and time that too without the assistance of any technical staff.

QNAP improves its NAS search function by implementing Qsirch 2.1. It allows the user to supervise status and progress of indexing and file indexing task run in the background. It allows users with proper filtering of file type they want to search. Hybrid Backup, Sync integrates functions like synchronization, backup and restoration into an isolated QTS app for easy transferring of data. Qmail being an email service provides users with the experience to switch to different accounts or access to multiple email accounts and it allows automatic backup of emails.

QTS 4.2.1 support applications based on Linux and for instant management users can control Linux station by using the web browser. Virtualization Station 2.1 support QNAP Guest tools like QNAP Guest Agent, QXL driver, UltraVNC, and VirtIO drivers and GPU Pass-through. Container Station 1.4 supports running standard docker containers and editable LSC containers by which users can download many apps from Docker Hub and run those apps from remote environments with added flexibility for in-app export or import.
