QSM Introduces an Add-on to Enhance SLIM-Estimate
FREMONT, CA: Quantitative Software Management, Inc. (QSM), a provider of estimation products and consulting has recently introduced SLIM PPM Connector for CA Project and Portfolio Management (PPM). QSM’s newly launched offering, SLIM PPM Connector is an add-on to its QSM’s flagship software estimation program SLIM-Estimate, which enables companies to anticipate outcomes by estimating the required cost, time and effort for software or systems projects.
SLIM PPM Connector seamlessly integrates SLIM-Estimate’s top-down resource management and CA’s PPM product to allow managers estimate staffing needs of complete lifecycle or project. SLIM PPM Connector facilitates enterprise resource planning by providing the resource demand data.
“When it comes to vetting proposals in PPM systems, it is a commonplace to simply ballpark numbers, which can often end up being interpreted as fact and lead to high-risk projects getting approved into the enterprise portfolio,” stated Larry Putnam, Jr., Co-CEO for QSM. “By automatically integrating SLIM-Estimate with PPM tools, you can use tried and true quantitative analytics that give you the best likelihood of having the right people, with the right skills, on the project team at the right time to ensure a successfully completed project.”
SLIM-Estimate leverages the extensive QSM Metrics Database to derive data, which is collected from over 10,000 completed software projects from different countries.
