Quickplay Collaborates with Harmonic on a Global Scale to Offer Enhanced Video Architecture
FREMONT, CA: Quickplay, a firm offering premium videos to any device signed into a strategic alliance with Harmonic to deliver an end-to-end video architecture. With cutting edge video quality, the new architecture is focused on achieving enhanced optimization, performance and carrier grade scale for the Next Generation TV (NGTV).

The collaboration will effectively allow operators to utilize the power of Quickplay’s multi-tenant video platform powered by its software based head end. It will implement various features of Harmonic’s video delivery infrastructure solutions. The solutions are based on a software-based media processing platform known as VOS that boosts flexibility and simplifies workflows in video services.
The pay-as-you-grow model complies with the existing economics of latest OTT service that launches and operates expenditure (OPEX) models. The two firms will work together to accelerate and introduce new business models in premium online video. The process will offer unique capabilities with Quickplay’s outsourced managed services and Harmonic’s advanced infrastructure.
