Rackspace Opts for CloudPassage Halo to Aid with its Compliance Assistance Service
FREMONT, CA: CloudPassage recently declared that Rackspace has chosen CloudPassage Halo to be its primary security and compliance platform that allows Rackspace Compliance Assistance—a managed service that targets all industries with specific compliance requirements. It also favors outsourcing of the management of its compliance initiatives. Halo was chosen on the basis of its wide range of controls that are provided as an on-demand service in any kind of infrastructure: data centers, private cloud or public cloud, irrespective of its provider.
"CloudPassage is one of the leading providers of workload-focused security," says Jarret Raim, Director, Rackspace. "Halo allows Rackspace to deploy a new service to our clients, helping us to identify, administer and validate consumers’ Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) requirements. The CloudPassage technology helped the Rackspace team become more competent and efficient by automating previously manual compliance processes. This benefits our clientele by raising the tempo of cost-effective compliance initiatives."
Rackspace Compliance Assistance helps businesses deliver audit assurance as well as confidence to consumers via a customized solution that unites specialized hosting capabilities along with a wholly managed round-the-clock security operations center. This solution helps customers address PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance goals with proper monitoring, management as well as reporting. Moreover, its advanced technology solutions are heightened with security expertise, best practices and management and can lead to a decrease in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
"Rackspace is essentially transforming its business and CloudPassage is a key part of the story," says Robert Thomas, CEO, CloudPassage. "Businesses of all sizes are in the middle of a huge shift to agile IT delivery models and conventional, perimeter-based appliances don't work well in this high speed world of rapid change, collective resources and profound automation. As an important piece of the Rackspace managed services offerings, CloudPassage helps in giving enterprises an enormous business advantage over their competition."
“Many companies are adopting cloud technologies for high scalability, flexibility and innovation. At Rackspace, we offer customers a wide variety of IT environments including public, private, dedicated and hybrid clouds, as well as managed services to help them run these complex technologies, so they can focus on their core businesses,” adds Prashanth Chandrasekar, GM, DevOps, Rackspace.
