Rackspace Rolls out OpenStack Everywhere, Helps Businesses Reduce IT Costs
SAN ANTONIO, TX: Rackspace, a managed cloud computing company, has released ‘OpenStack Everywhere’ that aspires to deliver an integrated software, hardware, and services solution for OpenStack-powered cloud implementations, reports Christina Weaver in her blog for Rackspace.
With this new launch, enterprises can run a wholly-organized OpenStack private cloud in their preferred data center—whether it’s on-premise, a third party data center, a Rackspace-maintained third party collocation facility or a Rackspace data center. It also enables customers to run OpenStack private clouds in cost efficient and safe manner. “When OpenStack is consumed as a managed service, businesses can remove non-core operations, reduce software licensing, and minimize infrastructure acquisition and IT operations costs,” explains Darrin Hanson, General Manager of OpenStack Private Cloud, Rackspace.
Based on the theory that the complication and cost of hiring talent to organize and operate will increase demand for OpenStack as a managed service, the firm, Rackspace, has designed the new ‘cloud in a box’ solution. While implementing the OpenStack Everywhere, customers can get the help of Rackspace experts who then handle the end-to-end operation, supervising and functions of the integrated solutions and help involved customers to their new OpenStack private cloud environment. In addition, with this new solution, customers also get the service level agreements joined with the OpenStack operational proficiency from Rackspace powered by a greater OpenStack API uptime.
The new release, OpenStack Everywhere, by Rackspace helps businesses apply private cloud to boost performance, simplify compliance, and enhance data independency and security. It also provides better support by fully managing the software, hardware and networking of users’ OpenStack private cloud— in any site.
