Jessi Howard's addition will strengthen Rally’s team of three managing directors, five venture partners, and six experts.

FREMONT, CA: Bringing over 20 plus years of experience in tech HR to Rally Ventures, Jessi Howard has joined the firm as Chief People Officer (CPO). Rally Ventures is a premier venture capital firm focused on early-stage business technologies.

Jessi has aided in the development and growth of a number of technology start-ups, including SportsEngine, RedBrick Health, and Secure Computing. She provided strategic guidance on talent acquisition and development, organizational health, and employee experience in these roles. She also offered advice on compensation, benefits, and human resource information systems.

Jessi's newly created post as Fractional CPO will give Rally Ventures' portfolio of developing firms access to an executive-level head of personnel to drive success and meet milestones. “Human resources and recruitment are critical components in the success of early-stage companies, but the HR function is often overlooked, which is just fundamentally wrong,” said Justin Kaufenberg, Managing Director, Rally Ventures. “Jessi is a world-class HR executive with deep experience in early-stage technology. Her addition to the Rally team underscores our belief that people are at the absolute core of success in SaaS.”

Rally Ventures is investing from its most recent fund, Rally Ventures IV, a 250 million dollars fund that takes its total committed capital generated to over 600 million dollars since its founding. The business will continue to support early-stage technology companies that are developing unique solutions for the fast-changing B2B sector, emphasizing Seed and Series A financing. Rally Ventures has invested in 59 companies and had 15 successful exits, including three initial public offerings, since its establishment in 2012.

“I look forward to supporting Rally Ventures’ ambitious future by designing foundational HR practices for the Rally portfolio, attracting best-in-class talent and being part of these exceptional teams building industry-altering companies,” said Jessi.

Jessi's addition will strengthen Rally’s team of three managing directors, five venture partners, and six experts. Rally Ventures also has a network of more than 100 technology partners, including executives, technologists, and luminaries, who function as an extension of the Rally Ventures team and provide operating leverage for portfolio firms, allowing the business to expand its capabilities.
