RCS Unveils Salt for Change Intelligence Suite for SAP
LAS VEGAS, NV: Revelation Software Concepts (RSC) expands its digital presence with launch of Salt 3.0, a software change intelligent tool for SAP software ecosystem.
The new offering comes with enhanced installation options to the default RSC Core VM (Virtual Machine) deployment including Linux-based operating systems and a hosted cloud service. The software’s coding standards keeps systems in sync; compares code versions and provides complete insight into code sequencing across the SAP landscape.
“The re-architected Salt 3.0 allows for more options for deployment, expanding the number of organizations that can gain Salt’s enhanced system visibility and process transparency. Salt improves system stability and enhances risk management, benefits that are high on the list of today’s CIO agenda,” says David Drake, chief executive officer and founder of RSC.
Salt 3.0 delivers real-time intelligence on system state and custom code in ABAP programming language which is ideal for three core areas, including developer utilities, landscape management and object/code repositories.
The SAP Landscape Management tool minimizes production system incidents; improve testing integrity and compares code versions across multiple systems. Whereas, developer utilities increases development efficiencies; improves code quality and identifies the location of code errors. The SAP object repository application will provide access to SAP system’s custom object repository to rebuild systems, offering single object analysis.
The suite helps cut down risk by providing relevant fact based information on current systems to appropriate personnel including authorized managers, developers and other stakeholders. The latest version also enhances system security through an optional Secure Socket Layer (SSL)-only mode and accommodates all the latest OS patches.
