BOSTON, MA: Red Hat, provider of open source solutions and Samsung Electronics, join hands to come up with the next generation of mobile solutions for the enterprise. The collaboration is based on their individual strengths, which mutually complement each other.

The collaborated mobility solutions from Red Hat and Samsung Business Services enable businesses to advance and accelerate their mobile initiatives. The companies together intend to deliver a series of enterprise-ready, industry-specific mobile applications that will run on the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform and address key workforce management and business tasks that include business intelligence; field and customer service; inventory management and sales catalog; pricing; ordering; and invoicing.

The applications will be customized and tailored to fit the needs of an organization. The mobile apps will run on Android and other operating environments through the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform, and will be configurable to integrate into common enterprise back-end systems.

The integration of Red Hat’s flexibility, community credibility, and support for application development and deployments on premise and across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments with Samsung’s diverse portfolio of technologies targeted for business, will deliver mobile solutions that enable rapid development and integration of enterprise applications for organizations inching toward a mobile-first strategy.
