SAN JOSE, CA: Redpine Signals has teamed up with AverLogic Technologies to offer a feature-rich, high quality wireless video solution. The solution integrates Redpine’s RS9113 wireless module with AverLogic AL582 video SoC to deliver video IoT applications for wireless AV senders/receiver, car cameras, video door bells, home security systems, baby monitors, and medical imaging, among others.

"The quality of video transfer over Wi-Fi depends on both the wireless performance of the devices and on the robustness built into the protocol,” said Venkat Mattela, CEO, Redpine Signals. “These are exactly what have been engineered into the RS9113 device. And with close interaction between the Redpine Signals and AverLogic teams, the parameters and configuration of the wireless transport have been optimized for a stand-out performance."

The Redpine Signals RS9113 2.4/5Ghz is a dual band wireless module, providing a cost-effective solution that targets low-power and high QoS wireless applications; ideal for high definition video broadcasts. On the other hand, the AverLogic AL582 is a multi-functional video streaming SOC with a modern H.264/JPEG compression/decompression engine that maintains optimum video quality throughout the transmission process.

Additionally, the AL 582 facilitates CMOS Sensor, HDMI, VGA and CVBS video signals inputs and outputs owing to its rich video interfaces that include RGB, BT.1120, YCbCr and BT.656. This coupled with RS 9113’s fully embedded networking and Wi-Fi stack, delivers a high performance wireless interface for system developers, eliminating the need for Wi-Fi drivers and enabling OS-free IoT applications.

"Wireless video is becoming mainstream in the IoT market. Utilizing Averlogic video processing technology, we have created a solution that makes high quality video streaming applications possible for a wide range of applications," said Kyle Chang, CEO, AverLogic. "Along with the Redpine Signals RS9113 wireless module, we are delivering the best in class high quality wireless video solution to the market."
