REI Systems Given $80M IT Modernization Contract by the United States Patent and Trademark Office
The Trademark Product Line consists of a range of programs and software that facilitate the licensing process of trademarks, from filing applications to the review of lawyers to the registration and continuing use of trademarks.
FREMONT, CA: REI Systems has been chosen by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to facilitate software production and the modernization of apps for nearly 20 mission-critical devices. These applications include the Trademark Product Line, one of four IT product lines within the newly launched USPTO IT Product Catalog. Through these New Ways to Work, USPTO strives to link IT support and distribution with goals and market objectives while modernizing the IT ecosystem by improving the user experience for USPTO workers, trademark clients, and the general public.

As part of USPTO’s Revolutionary Ways of Work, REI’s Agile teams of full-stack engineers will follow our Conscious Modernization strategy, taking into account human science, change management, and consumer expectations as we work to stabilize and modernize Trademark processes to enable the issuance and preservation of high-quality trademarks.

This deal, estimated at almost 80 million dollars with a performance duration of more than seven years, was acquired by the General Services Administrations (GSA) Alliant 2 Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle. Alliant 2 is a Best-in-Class GWAC offering connectivity to companies such as REI Systems on the front lines of IT modernization, systems development, and technological advances.
