Revamped 'Costimator' with New Cost Estimating Models
WEST SPRINGFIELD: MTI Systems has announced the addition of 24 new cost models to their recent V12.1 update of its flagship cost estimate software ‘Costimator’.
Costimator provides both suppliers and original equipment manufacturers with the cost estimates of various manufacturing processes that include machining, casting, forging, fabrication, forming, welding, molding, finishing, electronics and assembly. No matter how big or large the manufacturers are, this cost estimating software can be used by single-man job shops to large contract companies.
The updated cost estimating software has added new cost models for Machining & Sheet Metal Fabrication Shops and thus estimators are benefitted with more speed, accuracy, and consistency.
“In today’s competitive marketplace, it’s only natural that more cost models should be added to Costimato. Satisfying our customers’ growing needs and responding to emerging new technologies are key factors as to what we select for new features in Costimator updates and upgrades,” explains Rene Laviolette, Vice President of MTI System’s product development.
The new Costimator constitutes customized models that estimate cost for broaching, grinding, welding, flux core arc weld, and tungsten inert gas weld; while outside processing models deal with the estimation of cost involved in finishing, heat treat, machining, plating, and freight.
According to Gardner Manufacturing Company, a sheet metal manufacturer based in Wisconsin, the new upgraded cost models from MTI Systems will enhance its software adding timesaving benefits, consistency and accuracy.
“It’s such a great benefit to have a software vendor such as MTI Systems continue to add new features and manufacturing data,” says Robert Marschke, estimating engineer at Gardner Manufacturing. “
